The Sarblue Planet Mate Maksutov-Cassegrain 60 telescope is a design of simplicity, power, and ingenuity. Named after the Soviet/Russian optician and astronomer Dmitri Maksutov, who invented this telescope design in 1941, the Maksutov-Cassegrain offers superb optical performance.

Unlike the more widely known refractor or Newtonian reflector designs, the Maksutov-Cassegrain corrects known optical problems such as coma (found in reflector telescopes) and chromatic aberration (found in refractors). The result is high-contrast, detailed views of both terrestrial and celestial targets, all within an extremely compact tube.

As a beginner telescope, the Mak60 offers great viewing capacity. In ideal conditions, it can help you explore celestial wonders like Saturn, Jupiter's moons, and more, not just the moon. Compact and portable, this telescope makes for an excellent travel companion, thanks to its Maksutov-Cassegrain mechanism.

The telescope is equipped with an erect-image diagonal, enabling clear, true-to-life terrestrial viewing of natural scenes. Its high-quality optics with minimal aberrations deliver crystal-clear images.

The ingenious design of the detachable lid reveals the internal structure of the telescope, making it a great educational tool. You can even observe how light travels with the help of some tools.

Using the telescope is straightforward. Simply turn the focus knob until you get a sharp view. Keep in mind that the Maksutov-Cassegrain design may require many turns to complete the focus adjustment. Two triangle humps on the tube help you aim at your target - just position your eye at the end of the telescope and adjust until the humps and the target overlap.

The telescope tube features a standard 1/4-inch screw hole at the bottom, allowing it to be mounted on most tripods. You can use different tripods to suit your viewing needs.

The Mak60 telescope comes in two versions: one with a finderscope and a large tripod, and a basic version. Both offer sharp, crystal-clear views, thanks to the Maksutov-Cassegrain design, fully multi-coated optical glass lens, and minimized spherical and chromatic aberrations.

The included high-quality 20mm eyepiece provides 37.5x magnification, enabling high-power, sharp views of distant objects. Additional accessories such as a phone adapter, a tabletop tripod, and an erect-image diagonal are also included.

The Sarblue Planet Mate Mak60 telescope is a perfect gift for astronomy beginners, both kids and adults. It offers a hassle-free setup and comes with a one-year warranty and friendly customer support, ensuring your satisfaction.
